Welcome
to Chrestomathy, Inc.
Chrestomathy, Inc. is a Minnesota
non-profit organization committed to quality service provision
to adults with developmental disabilities. Chrestomathy provides
day training and habilitation services to a total of a little
over 100 individuals throughout our Minneapolis, Eden Prairie
and Burnsville locations. We specialize in serving program participants
who are difficult to serve and need an enhanced staff ratio.
Founded in 1985, our success can be attributed to our commitment
to excellence, our commitment to working with individuals with
challenging behaviors, and our positive, proactive approach
to working with the individuals we serve.
Chrestomathy provides the behavioral
support necessary to ensure success for clients with complex
needs, while also providing these individuals with the opportunity
to gain adaptive skills, pursue vocational activities and artistic
endeavors which gives them the opportunity to become contributing
members of society.

The name Chrestomathy was
selected for the Greek derivative meanings, "chrestos"
meaning useful and "mathien" meaning to learn.
Thus, the concept of useful
learning provides both a basic summary of the organizational
name and philosophical ideology.
